PWS Promotions was set-up by Paul Self, who has been organising gigs, club nights & events in Birmingham since 2004. Previously Paul worked with ZoOt Promotions, before going onto manage local act THE TWANG with EDITORS' management ZoOt Music. It was here Paul went on to chalk up a UK Top 3 Album (which achieved Gold Disc status) and three UK Top 40 Singles (including one Top 10 Single) plus numerous other accolades whilst managing the band, from an NME front cover to Headlining the John Peel Stage at Glastonbury 2007! Leaving to pursue other interests, it was here PWS Promotions was born...

Over the years PWS have promoted a mixture of touring and local artists, including; Editors / The Pigeon Detectives / We Are Scientists (3,000 sell out at Carling Academy) / The Twang Canterbury / Swim Deep / Jeffrey Lewis & The Junkyard / Towns / Misty's Big Adventure / Johnny Foreigner & more. We currently book at these venues across the city;

THE FLAPPER: For those of you who didn't know (or had forgotten) The Flapper is THE original live music venue in Birmingham, having played host to 100's of signed acts, whilst on their way up. More recently We are Scientists and The Pigeon Detectives played sell-out shows and in the past acts such as Muse have graced the venue's stage. And let's not forget Editors and The Twang used The Flapper as a base for industry shows, before getting signed and hitting the big time. So, if you want to continue in the footsteps of Birmingham's most recent successes, message us for a show.

RAINBOW VENUES: Split across two buildings (The Public House & The Warehouse) The Rainbow is home to some of Birmingham's biggest gigs and events.

O2 ACADEMY: AMG invested £5.5m in its latest 45,000sq ft development, three state of the art venues that can operate independently as well as simultaneously. With an exceptionally busy diary, O₂ Academy Birmingham actively supports new and developing talent in O₂ Academy2 and O₂ Academy 3, through to gigs by top international artists for over 3,000 fans in its main auditorium.

THE ACTRESS & BISHOP: The Actress and Bishop is one of Birmingham’s legendary music venues. With live bands playing throughout out the week, we are a destination for music lovers across the West Midlands.

PLUG: Located along Digbeth High Street, Birmingham, has played host to many large and popular events over the years, having a wide array of artists, musicians and deejays perform. The venue boasts an impressive and spacious layout with both upstairs and downstairs rooms, suitable in having a variety of music performed simultaneously. Both rooms kitted out with a high quality sound system, lighting rig and bar, including a variety of drink promotions and offers.
